Hey, guys!I wanted to say a little more about the 2 Broke Girls game. The game was actually made by our internal game development team (a small team of 3 individuals) whose job is to test the limits of our engine by building original titles.This game was built completely within the public 0.9.71 version of GameSalad Creator. Also, Facebook version of the game uses our HTML5 embed player, not exported HTML5.
This is really a first of its kind test of emerging technology, similar to the way Zombie Drop and Secret of Grisly Manor were published the Chrome Web Store.In addition, the other elements of the page (all the other Facebook widgets) are done through Facebook, and fully available to anyone to use right now.In terms of when this will be available to the larger GameSalad Community, we're not sure. This was a small test, done as a one-off experiment (so as not to burn any of our very precious development time). Right now, our development focus is on improving engine performance, loading times, and other advanced features as mentioned in the roadmap.Thanks, everyone! Will GameSalad be supporting HTML 5 exporting / Branding Free games?I think it's awesome that you have an in-house team that built a great game. I realize that gives you greater latitude with the software.
That's understandable. Yet, you're doing stuff with your own games what we can't with ours. I think that highlights a problem in the community. You have requirements for your own projects and you get them done. Meanwhile, the rest of us are stuck wondering what's going to happen.HTML 5 exporting turns GameSalad into a serious web publishing platform. Especially if full-screen and/or custom sized projects can be created.
This CBS project highlights the difference. The CBS project isn't exported HTML5 - I think you missed that in the last post. All we did that was different from the current publishing to HTML5, was applying the same process we tested on Google Chrome App Store with Facebook.Neither of these projects involved exported HTML5 code in any way. They both use the same embed player that Arcade uses.The process we used on Google Chrome and with Facebook isn't yet available to the community, but it's not related to the Creator Tool.
It's related to some server settings that we've been experimenting with. We DO plan on rolling this out to the GameSalad Community, but not entirely sure exactly how or when it will be rolled out.The performance and game logic and everything about how the game plays was built entirely within 0.9.71. The only differences are involved with back end technologies that we're still working out.

Would I know it was made with GameSalad? From what I'm reading in this thread, it seems that the average person wouldn't. And that's the main point. (I don't remember if it's in one of the pre-game screens though.) If this is a project that you worked on. And it has no mention of GameSalad. How should the rest of the community feel about that?

Good!This is an excellent example of what can be done with GameSalad and it can help combat the negative feedback out there.The facebook version doesn't have some of the buttons and branding from the Arcade embed player, just like Zombie Drop and Grisly Manor don't on Chrome. That's part of what we were testing.I think that's a big difference though. Saying, 'Made with GameSalad' on the credits page is different than what we can do now.And even though it's hosted on GameSalad.com, apparently they're separate.

That means you can turn the GameSalad.com Arcade version off. And put the game somewhere else.The main question is exporting. Not just to Facebook. But to a company website. I think GameSalad should support HTML 5 exporting. You haven't answered the question. I know it's a touchy issue.
The point is that one of the main selling points for Pro is branding free publishing — but that's not an option for HTML 5 publishing.
